About the role
At Thynk, we are on a mission to revolutionize the 2T$ hospitality industry and to become a new vertical SaaS giant. It will be your mission to make this a seamless experience for existing and new customers by making sure that shipped products are always of high quality. Your background in hospitality will be key in guaranteeing that our products are a great fit with the day-to-day needs of our customers.
You will be part of a new, growing team for a high growth tech startup in the hospitality industry. You will join the Tech Team managed by our CTO Aard-Jan Van Kesteren, composed of 7 developers, 4 external QA Engineers. Each of them are currently working on :
1/ the integration
2/ the core app
3/ test automation
4/ cross functionalities
As we really want to start building our team in-house, you will be our first internal QA professional with hospitality knowledge, to take over the vacant analytics & user experience scope.
Also, as QA Engineer you will be working closely with product management based in the US.
Our software testing stack is based on Jira, Xray and Testim.
At Thynk QA engineers are involved in all phases of software development, from design to test. We apply agile principles (2 weeks sprint / 2 weeks releases). We are particularly close to the leadership team, as well as the business and the product !
Also, we are able to innovate at a rapid pace. We use Slack for digital communication and Notion as a collaboration tool.
As our "Job title" at Thynk, you will:
You will contribute as an individual contributor in a strong, fully remote team and be a team player in a highly collaborative environment. In this role, you will be working on functionalities that our users - hoteliers - use day-in-day-out :
- Review requirements, specifications and software design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize and plan testing activities
- Detect, record and verify bugs
- Perform and analyze regression tests
- Perform regular root cause analysis for business critical incidents and develop improvement plans
- Contribute significantly to every release.
About you
You’ll be a great fit if you are a QA professional (3+ years) with a functional background in hospitality and a previous experience with agile development using scrum.
We really appreciate detail-oriented and process-driven profiles as you will be developing user experience and customer satisfaction in our fast-growing environment. Your eyes for details will make the difference.
Bonus points if you have :
- 1+ years of experience with Salesforce
- Hands-on experience with test automation
