Qualified Early Childhood Teacher/Room Leader Position
Newman Day Care Centre is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our small but passionate team and to continue the delivery of exceptional care and education of our children.
Newman Day Care is a 30+ year old, highly respected, committee run, not-for-profit long day care centre. Our centre prides itself in providing a 'home away from home' where each child is nurtured and encouraged to explore their full potential.
Newman Day Care has 42 approved places from 6 weeks to 6 years. The Centre is open Monday to Friday 6:45am – 5pm and closed public holidays and two weeks over the Christmas period.

Newman is found approximately 1200km north of Perth, WA and is warmly regarded as 'The Heart of the Pilbara.' Essential Qualifications & Experience
-An approved Early Childhood Teaching Qualification or be actively working towards one.
-Previous Qualified experience with strong foundation of care and education
Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Solid understanding and experience with the Early Years Learning Framework.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
-Create a vision of children’s learning
-Leading and being part of a reflective discussion about practises and implementing the learning framework
-Ensure a warm, caring, secure, stimulating, safe and comfortable environment is provided for all children, families and staff.
-Ensure compliance with centre procedures, policies and philosophy, review regularly and implement new policies as required.
-Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the children, families and staff.
